Pursuant to Law no. 2018-166 of March 8, 2018 on student orientation and success, all students enrolled in initial training at a higher education institution must pay the Contribution de Vie Étudiante et de Campus (CVEC) before proceeding with their administrative registration.
This contribution, introduced by article L841-5 of the French Education Code, aims to strengthen social support, health services, cultural initiatives and sports activities for students.
Payment is made online via the Crous website.
At the end of this process, a certificate of payment or exemption will be issued. Students receiving social grants, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection and refugees are exempt from payment, but must still log on to the platform to obtain their attestation, which is essential for administrative registration.
